Generate business plans from Claude
The hosted Plansera MCP server connects Claude Code, Claude Desktop, claude.ai, and Cursor to the Plansera API — so your assistant can interview you, fill the case file, and hand back a submission-ready E-2 visa or small-business-loan plan as a designed PDF.
Streamable HTTP · Authorization: Bearer psk_… · no install, nothing to host
Connect in under a minute
Create a key at plansera.ai/dashboard/developers, then point your client at https://mcp.plansera.ai/mcp.
One command in your terminal. Swap in your own key from the dashboard — psk_test_ keys are free, psk_live_ keys generate real plans.
claude mcp add --transport http plansera https://mcp.plansera.ai/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer psk_test_YOUR_KEY"Then just ask: “Create an E-2 business plan for my client’s EV-charging startup.”
How a plan comes together
You talk; Claude does the paperwork. Under the hood it walks a fixed lifecycle, and the readiness check tells it exactly what to ask you next — so nothing is invented.

Tools, resources & prompts
The full surface your assistant gets. One tool per job, and a readiness contract that keeps generation honest.
Plans
list_plansList the plans owned by your API key — id, status, company, test flag.
create_planStart a new plan with plan_type "e2" or "loan" (defaults to "e2"). Nothing is charged at creation.
get_planFetch a single plan you own by id.
delete_planSoft-delete a plan you own.
Intake
set_intakeWrite the case file: scalar facts, narrative sections, and structured data like source of funds, use of funds, lease, staffing, and projected revenue.
check_readinessThe completeness contract: ready_to_generate, what is missing, and a concrete "fix" for every failing check.
Generation
generate_planStart generation once intake is complete. An incomplete case file returns a 422 with the gaps — nothing is charged.
get_plan_statusPoll generation progress until current_status is "review".
download_planGet a presigned download URL (valid about an hour) for the PDF — or pass format "docx" for the editable Word version.
Billing
get_billing_statusShows whether a payment method is saved in your dashboard and the per-plan prices.
Resources
api://referenceThe full API reference: auth, the intake contract, generation lifecycle, sandbox mode, error codes, and rate limits.
api://intake-schemaA compact, model-friendly schema of everything set_intake accepts and what a complete plan requires.
Prompt
create_e2_planA guided workflow that encodes the whole happy path: it has Claude read the intake schema, interview you for the required facts first (never inventing any), fill the case file, confirm readiness, then generate and hand back the download link.
Try everything free in sandbox
Every dashboard account can create psk_test_ keys. They run the complete lifecycle — create, intake, readiness, generate, download — at no cost, and generation returns an example PDF so you can see exactly what the finished product looks like before a single dollar changes hands.
Pay per plan, nothing upfront
No subscription and no prepayment. Save a card on the dashboard’s Billing page; each live generation is charged on-demand — and only when it actually succeeds. Creating plans, filling intake, and readiness checks are always free.

Questions, answered
What is MCP?+
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude securely call external tools. Connecting the Plansera MCP server gives Claude the ability to create, fill, and generate business plans on your behalf.
Is my API key stored on the MCP server?+
No. The server is a stateless pass-through: your key is forwarded with each request to the Plansera API and never persisted. On Plansera’s side, API keys are stored only as hashes — the full key is shown once, at creation.
Why does claude.ai need the key in the URL?+
claude.ai custom connectors can’t attach custom headers yet, so the URL form ?key=psk_test_… exists as a workaround. Because the key sits in a URL, use a free sandbox (psk_test_) key there — keep live keys in the Authorization header on clients that support it.
When am I charged?+
Only when a live generation succeeds. Each plan is charged on-demand to the card saved on your dashboard’s Billing page — $100 for an E-2 plan, $19 for a loan plan. Creating plans, filling intake, and readiness checks are free, and sandbox keys are never charged.
What exactly do sandbox keys do?+
A psk_test_ key runs the entire lifecycle — create, intake, readiness, generate, download — for free. Generation returns an example PDF instead of a real one, so you can wire up and test the full flow at zero cost.
Can I use the raw REST API instead?+
Yes. The MCP server is a thin layer over the public /v1 REST API. The machine-readable OpenAPI spec lives at plansera.ai/api/v1/openapi.json, and the same API keys work for both.
